Abstract

Since the introduction of private dental insurance in South Korea in 2008, the proportion of private insurance in the dental field has steadily increased. Many people concerned about their oral health and the financial burden of dental treatment are signing up for or considering signing up for dental insurance. However, dental professionals are largely uninterested in private insurance. A little understanding of private insurance can be of great help to patients and will undoubtedly benefit dental practices.
